Description

When Charles Purdom first met Meher Baba in 1931, he had an instant recognition and conviction. He went on to write a biography of Meher Baba titled The Perfect Master, which was later updated to what is now The God-Man. He also edited a collection of Meher Baba’s discourses for a Western audience, called God to Man and Man to God.

Purdom’s life was a diverse one: founder of utopian towns, lover of Shakespeare and theater, journalist, author, and publisher. The father of four wrote 20 books over a 50-year period on the subjects he loved most – Meher Baba, the theater, and model towns. Charles Purdom served his “Perfect Master,” Meher Baba for 34 years. This is the biography of Meher Baba’s biographer.
